Romans 12:1-2 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Dedicated Service

12 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, [a]acceptable to God, which is your [b]spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this [c]world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may [d]prove what the will of God is, that which is good and [e]acceptable and perfect

Introduction: looking back and comparing what is accepted as normal today and what was not accepted as normal with what was accepted in the past and was was not accepted in the past. It makes me wonder if I should call myself normal in today society? As I watched the Mighty morphine power ranger, and one phrase stood out to me and it was the question that the villain ask the chosen power rangers, (have you morphed yet?). This was a very crucial question, because the second we understand the importance of not being like every else, then we start you live out our true potential in life. My question is the same have you morphed yet? Or are you still living life with out knowing you purpose and true potential?

Proposition: To show you all two things that makes me not normal.

Main Point:

1. I am not normal because I have chosen not to be conform to this world.

The word conform; comply with rules, standards, or laws.
the kitchen does not conform to hygiene regulations,synonyms:comply with, abide by, obey, observe, follow, keep to, stick to, adhere to, uphold, heed, accept, go along with, fall in with, respect, defer to; More
(of a person) behave according to socially acceptable conventions or standards.
the pressure to conform
synonyms:follow convention, be conventional, fit in, adapt, adjust, follow the crowd; More
be similar in form or type; agree.
the countryside should conform to a certain idea of the pictures, synonyms:match, fit, suit, answer, agree with, be like, correspond to, be consistent with, measure up to, tally with, square with goods must conform to their description.
What does it mean to be conform to this world? It is to live by the practice and ways of society. As you look at your lifestyle does it match up with Gods moral code of excellence or the code of your society? With all of its hate, lust, betrayal, hopelessness, unforgiving, unloving, lovers of money rather than lovers of God, and without self control. In todays society when you have these qualities you are considered normal, because that is the ways things operate  these days So I have chosen not to be normal , if normal is uplifting sexuality, hatred, violence and lack of respect for God and our fellow mankind.

2. I am not normal because I have chosen to be transformed into God’s will.

The word transform means;
make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.
lasers have transformed cardiac surgery.
synonyms:change, alter, convert, metamorphose, transfigure, transmute, mutate;revolutionize,overhaul;remodel, reshape,redo, reconstruct, rebuild,reorganize, rearrange, rework,renew, revamp, remake, retool;
informaltransmogrify, morph, the old inn has been transformed into an outpatient medical facility.
Hello are you conforming to this world or are you transforming into the likeness of God? In the way we treat God and each other, are well loving others like God love us? Are we living in peace with each other, or living in anger, hatred, envy, malice? To be like God is to love without the other person even deserving to be love. I know it will be hard to do, but we need to just have the mind to do it. The word of God says that love covers a multitude of sins, because when we love we will not hurt others and we will think highly of others and then we will live in peace. As we look out for others and not just for our selfish ambitions, there will be no room to hurt and do evil to others. Let us be transform to the likeness of God so this world can be a better place.
